As we leave winter behind and look forward to Spring ,its that time of year to start clearing and planning for the summer months for our gardens
Having identified four community garden groups, interested in developing their gardening skills and supporting the development and use of the community garden at the Galloway Hospital ,Early discussions with the groups have identified the benefit to collectively support one another and enhance the success of the Community garden development
The Gardens for Health project will be holding a development meeting on the 7th February at the locality offices at 1.30pm ,The aim of the meeting will be to identify how the gardens can be developed and maintained and how the groups can work together to achieve its outcome ,we have also gained the support of the Community Action Team based at the Reuse shop to assist in the garden development and Jackie Rae and Paul Smith are delighted to be able to support those involved, we would welcome any other individuals or Groups interested to come along and get involved
