For the second year running BHC West Wigtownshire Tai Chi for Health Volunteers have been supporting the Areas Education "Wider Achievement Programme" for Pupils.
In 2016 the Wigtownshire BHC facilitators supported the programme at Parks School in Stranraer ,which was a great success, And are pleased to be supporting this years programme at Belmont School ,Stranraer .
The children were provided a short History of the development of Tai Chi and where it came from,The benefits of practicing Tai Chi for Health , and observed a demonstration given by both Tai Chi for health Facilitators, Robert Scott Hogg and James Ramsey
The programme is provided every Friday afternoon at the Scholl from Feb 17th to the 24th March
It is hoped those participating will come along to take part in the organized World Tai Chi day that is been planned in the community on the 29th April to celebrate World Tai chi Day ,where everywhere in the world at 10am will present a Tai Chi exercise. Further information will follow on this event in April
